L'Occitane Lavender Vinegar

L'Occitane Lavender Vinegar

3. L’Occitane Lavender Vinegar 50ml

This is a spot treatment by L’Occitane containing Lavender and Camphor Essential Oil. The first time I heard of this product was when I saw a post in a girly forum. It was loved and hated by many people for various reasons. At that time I had a couple of small pimples on forehead and slight redness on cheeks – way much better than this time – and I decided to give it a go. It was my first L’Occitane product and I still have it now.

It’s a clear liquid formula with an alcoholic smell. I know some people hate alcohol in skincare products but I think sometimes it’s necessary especially when treating acnes as it kills bacteria and tightens the pores. While many people apply L’Occitane Lavender Vinegar only to pimples using cotton buds, I apply it on full face as a toner. It stings sometimes when applying but I actually like it as it makes me believe that it’s working.

The first time I used it dried the small pimples in two or three days and more surprisingly it also made the redness disappear after a couple of weeks. It made my skin look clearer and more radiant. So this time I took it out again and as expected it worked well on the small acnes. It also lightened some new acne scars which I’d been worried about. But for the big red angry ones, unfortunately I didn’t see any improvement. So I’d like to say it’s an effective product for small pimples, redness and new spot scars but not good for inflamed acnes.

Some people on the internet are complaining that it’s too strong and burns the skin but I didn’t experience that. It seems I have a thicker skin hahaha. Anyway, always test a new product on your inner wrist before applying it on your face to make sure it doesn’t irritate your skin. For L’Occitane Lavender Vinegar, DO NOT use it if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding!!!
