4. Botanics Aromatherapy Pure Essential Lavender Oil 20ml
I have many Essential Oils although I don’t really know much about Aromatherapy. They were all tested and recommended by friends. The lavender oil I have was bought from Boots. It’s a 100% pure essential oil. It can be applied directly to skin – the instruction on the package says DON’T but I did and it didn’t burn my face – or mix with other oils.
Lavender oil is an antibacterial and soothing oil. In the morning and bedtime after washing my face, I put three drops in my palm and rubbed my hands together to warm it up a bit and then massaged it all over my face apart from the eye area. I tried the eye area earlier but it really stung my eyes and made them watering so I gave up.
I used Lavender Oil for nearly a month and what I actually found out was lavender oil is a preventative acne treatment rather than a remedial treatment. I didn’t get as many new breakouts as I got before but the existing ones were not healed as well. However, it worked pretty good in term of fading the scars left from previous breakouts. And it can also be used to massage out the blackheads and whiteheads – just warm up the oil with your hands and massage for two or three minutes. Although it’s not a perfect acne treatment, I’ll always have one handy for its universal uses.
